Enthusiastic Bridge Players Fill Five Tables on February 24th!!

Dear Bridge Players,

Our new Sawgrass Bridge Club again welcomes you!!

On the 24th, Don Brown continued "refresher" training on weak two bids and their responses. (See above short video clip and below handout from last week. And, once again, don't pay too much attention to YouTube's post-clip video-viewing solicitations -- that's the price we pay for their nice video-hosting service! [grin!])

This week, we played a five-table (20 individual)
"Mitchell-Movement" with the master-point-earning
scores being as follows:

1st N/S 65.63% .20mp Shel King--Jewel Smith

      E/W 59.38% .20mp Jean Boyd--Bea Kantrowitz

2nd N/S 51.88% .14mp Bill Alter--Judy Barash

      E/W 56.88% .14mp Gene and Alice Schreiber

Congratulations to the above top scorers and to all who participated. And a special welcome and thanks to those of you who played in our game for the first time!!

With interest in our club growing weekly, we would appreciate if you would please reserve your spot IN ADVANCE of each Wednesday game so that we can better accommodate you and any special restrictions you may have -- such as the need to sit North-South. Also, please help us "spread the word" by telling your friends about our games! To reserve, please call 954-732-5557 or e-mail sawgrassbridge@aol.com .
IMPORTANT! Our Club Manager, Jewel Smith, informs all that: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, the game scheduled for Wednesday, March 3rd must be cancelled. Please let us know if you will be playing in the March 10th game. BTW, we hope to be in our permanent location in May, 2010."
And, as always, please feel free to e-mail or call us with any suggestions you may have to enhance our games!

Meanwhile, wishing you good bridge playing in the coming week and looking forward to having you with us at a future Wednesday evening game!!

Sincerely,

SHK for the Sawgrass Bridge Club Committee
